In this blog post we will be looking at my test shoot for the final project in Ideas and Resolutions.
The test shoot for my final shoot didn’t go to plan because, my model Aithne (who was wearing the onesie), couldn’t be shot at the same time as the rest of the models for the shoot. This was going to increase the complexity of the creating the images in Photoshop. I would have to make sure the images exposures looked similar and that I took the images from the same location. Unfortunately the I was only able to shoot Aithne as the weather became terrible and it would have been hard to complete the shoot as the camera I was using wasn’t waterproof.
I did the test shoot on my Canon EOS M10, with the 15-45mm kit lens. This camera is a mirrorless compact system camera and can produce adequate images, but wouldn’t be good enough for the final shoot. The camera is based on the Canon 600D DSLR which is a budget priced crop-sensored DSLR. I think the images I’ve planned need a better camera and lens to capture all the detail. I will need to consider taking out a Canon EOS 5D Mark 3 for the Final Shoot.
