Mini Brief 3 – (Im)Perfection: Introduction

In this blog post I will be introducing the third mini brief – (Im)Perfections

The third mini-brief, was all about the overall image and creating images that were perfect. Perfection within photography is complex and problematic, because one photographer’s idea of perfection can be very different to another photographer’s idea of perfection. “Perfection” in general is a complex nature because it’s subjective there is no wrong or right answer.
Different photography genres have different ideals of Perfection. Fashion photography has come under fire for “perfecting” the models and skewing societies on what is the ideal image body. Advertising Photography strives to communicate a meaning, with simplest of images.
